Lightweight, compact and fun, the YZ's 249cc liquid-cooled reed-valve-inducted two-stroke engine features the patented Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS) that delivers crisp response and an incredibly wide, hard-hitting powerband.
Unmatched suspension elevates control and comfort and features a class-leading Speed Sensitive System 48mm inverted KYB® fork with a leaf spring in the mid-speed valve for more precise damping and increased performance. The fully adjustable KYB® rear shock features reduced-friction Kashima Coat internals, separate adjusters for high- and low-speed compression damping, and a full lock oil rebound system for superior comfort and handling characteristics.
Race-ready styling starts with sharp embedded graphics and aggressive bodywork including front and rear fenders, it includes the blacked-out radiator shrouds and number plates, and even the smaller details like fork guards, rear brake disc and caliper protectors, along with wide foot pegs illustrating the YZ250's extensive two-stroke racing pedigree from every angle.
A carefully considered ergonomic design includes a flatter seat, narrow fuel tank, smoothly integrated body panels and slim shroud width to enable greater freedom of movement forward and back, allowing the rider to easily shift body weight for increased control and confidence.
The YZ250 features premium, durable, and lightweight 21-inch front and 19-inch rear Excel® rims paired with race-developed Dunlop® Geomax MX33 tires delivering peek performance in a wide range of terrain.
