Powerful 890cc Liquid-Cooled CP3 Engine

Developing high levels of linear torque at low to mid RPMs, the world-renowned crossplane crankshaft 890cc CP3 engine produces broad, linear torque and thrilling power delivery characteristics that are perfect for Sport Touring. Optimized gear ratios and the advanced Assist & Slipper clutch offer super-smooth performance while the glorious wail from the CP3's tuned intake system amplifies the thrill of every ride.

Ride-by-Wire YCC-T Throttle System with APSG

An advanced Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) and Accelerator Position Sensor Grip (ASPG) ride-by-wire unit provides exceptional throttle feel. With the APSG, the degree of throttle opening is detected by a sensor and magnet which signals the throttle valve motor. The APSG is comprised of a spring, slider and gear and produces varying degrees of resistance to recreate a natural throttle feel during use.

Six-Axis IMU

The TRACER 9 offers an advanced six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) enabling a suite of rider aids including a Traction Control System (TCS), Slide Control System (SCS), front-wheel LIFt Control System (LIF), Back Slip Regulator (BSR) and Brake Control (BC) System. All systems work together to help the rider concentrate on better extracting the machine's potential. Each of the systems can have their levels of intervention adjusted or turned off to suit rider preference.

Lightweight Aluminum Frame

The lightweight CF die-cast aluminum Deltabox frame provides high levels of rigidity for sport bike agility and sure-footed stability. A long, lightweight subframe offers more space for both the rider and passenger, and a model-specific extended aluminum swingarm further contributes to TRACER 9's excellent high speed stability.

High Performance KYB® Suspension

The TRACER 9 features an adjustable 41mm KYB® inverted front fork and adjustable KYB® monoshock rear suspension enabling the rider to make quick, easy suspension changes to achieve the best set-up for every ride, whether riding solo or two-up. Additionally, the rear linkage design improves rear tire traction and optimizes chassis positioning and load distribution when cornering.

Full LED Lighting Including Cornering Lights

Compact, efficient LED lighting is featured throughout the TRACER 9 including advanced next-generation LED cornering lights to help illuminate the road while cornering. Brightness is automatically increased as the banking angle gets steeper, giving a clearer field of vision in the dark.

Standard Hard Side Cases

The TRACER 9 is ready for urban commutes and interstate travel straight off the showroom floor with color-matched hard side cases fitted as standard equipment. Each case can accommodate a full-face helmet and are mounted to a fully floating carrier system for a natural feeling while riding.
