The YFZ450R stands as the most technologically advanced Sport ATV available today. It pairs a high-tech, quick-revving, titanium-valved, 449cc fuel-injected engine with a lightweight, professional-caliber cast aluminum and steel chassis for a combination that produces podiums and championship-winning results time and time again.
The YFZ450R arrives trail- and motocross-ready. Its weldless aluminum frame features a tension-steel bottom frame that positions the engine lower for excellent mass centralization. Suspension components and settings shed weight while delivering light, sharp handling and genuine rider comfort.
The YFZ's bodywork is designed for great ergonomics and rider comfort with extra room to perfectly position yourself when sliding through corners. The seat is padded in all the right places, and all body panels can be removed with 1/4-turn toolless quick-release fasteners for easy maintenance and service access.
The 449cc engine uses titanium five-valve cylinder head technology to deliver abundant power from mid-range to top-end with stronger response right off idle. The higher compression ratio further sharpens overall engine capability for podium-dominating performance.
The YFZ450R uses Yamaha Fuel Injection (YFI) for precise fuel delivery at every throttle position. A large 42mm Mikuni® throttle body and 12-hole injector provide exceptional fuel atomization for maximum power, while ISC (Idle Speed Control) ensures easy, reliable start-up and warm-up.
An assist-and-slipper clutch lightens lever effort to reduce fatigue while simultaneously increasing clutch plate pressure for positive engagement. The system also reduces engine braking effect for quick cornering, especially when downshifting.
