ABOUT PROP SHOP - BETHEL, AK

Started in April, 1975 in a rented WWII Quonset hut I repaired any brand of snowmachines & outboards. In 1976, after the worst flood in 100 years, I raised the Quonset hut and put old 55 gallon drums under the floor beams. Acquired Yamaha snowmobile dealership and the following summer Mariner outboards. In 1977 I got the Stihl chainsaw dealership and worked in the Quonset until 1978, when I built the first part of the new Prop Shop. During the 80?s I sold various brands of boats, Fisher, Smokercraft, Almar, & Alumaweld. Finally during the 90?s we acquired the Wooldridge, Lund, & E-Z Loader dealerships. My son & chief mechanic, Steven started attending Mercury factory training and has been a certified technician for over 15 years now.
