“We’re excited to welcome Davi to our Yamaha Factory Team as Cooper’s new teammate. Davi’s had a great career so far, and he’s been a terrific ambassador for our sport. We’re looking forward to big things this year with Davi and Cooper both aboard the new 2018 YZ450F.”
Motorsports Racing Division Manager
Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A.
Motorsports is a proven vehicle for marketing brands, gaining exposure, and developing new products and services. At Yamaha, we are proud that the following partners have put their faith in us, and have provided their ongoing support as sponsors of our Factory Supercross Team. They share our passion for racing, and we consider them to not only be our business partners, but also, our friends.
Yamaha’s partnership with Monster Energy goes all the way back to 2007, when the two joined forces with Graves Motorsports to compete in the AMA Supermoto series, winning three championships and an X Games Gold in a two-year span.
After a brief hiatus, the partnership renewed in 2011 when Monster Energy became the title sponsor of the Yamaha Factory Racing Superbike team. Together, Monster Energy and Yamaha have won six AMA Superbike Championships in a row, in addition to three AMA Daytona SportBike/Supersport Championships, which includes the past two consecutive MotoAmerica Supersport titles.
In 2016, the successful partnership between Monster Energy and Yamaha extended to Supercross when Monster Energy also became the title sponsor of the Yamaha Factory Racing Supercross team, as well as the Yamaha Factory Racing Superbike team.
In 2017, Monster Energy is the title sponsor of both the Yamaha Factory Racing Supercross and Superbike teams, as well as the Monster Energy/Yamalube/Yamaha Extended Service/Graves/Yamaha Supersport team.
Monster Energy is way more than an energy drink. Led by its athletes, musicians, employees, distributors, and fans, Monster Energy is…A LIFESTYLE IN A CAN!
Celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, Yamalube formulates the only oil “built around” the unique demands, operating characteristics, and applications of the various motorsports engines that Yamaha produces. And, whether it’s Yamalube four-stroke or two-stroke oil, all of the races and Championships that Yamaha’s U.S. factory teams have won in motocross, supercross, off-road racing, and road racing over the years have been accomplished with Yamalube in the engines.
Yamalube also makes lubricants, quality care products, maintenance products, fork oils, fuel additives, and adhesives.
Chaparral Motorsports is one of the largest motorcycle accessory and vehicle dealerships in the country and has a rich history in supporting the sport of motorcycle racing. Chaparral is proud to have sponsored such motorcycle racing legends as Tim Ferry, Steve Lamson, and Jeremy McGrath, to name just a few.
Yamaha joined forces with Chaparral Motorsports in 1996 as they formed Chaparral Yamaha Racing, a satellite Supercross/Motocross team. In 1998, the relationship grew to new heights with support from Yamaha Factory Racing, as they joined forces with Jeremy McGrath and team manager Larry Brooks to become the first non-factory team in the history of the sport to win a Supercross Championship. The team went on to win a total of three consecutive Supercross Championships--in 1998, 1999, and 2000--with McGrath.
This historic partnership was re-ignited in 2016 when Chaparral reunited with the re-born Yamaha Factory Racing Supercross team and two-time Supercross Champion Chad Reed.
In 2017, the partnership continues with Chad Reed and Cooper Webb both riding for the team. In addition, Cooper will also compete in the AMA Motocross series for the Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha Factory Racing team.
Yamaha Financial Services
A brand-new sponsor of the Yamaha Factory Racing Supercross team for 2017, Yamaha Financial Services (YFS) was created by Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. (YMUS), to provide financing solutions to Yamaha powersports consumers.
YFS operates throughout the YMUS nationwide network of dealers, actively financing Yamaha products and supporting Yamaha customers throughout the country.
