About Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing
Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing heads into the 2026 MotoAmerica Superbike season primed for another title run with Bobby Fong, who returns for a second season, and JD Beach, who joins the team full-time this season. The championship-winning program looks to add a fifth title aboard the Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha YZF-R1 as it enters its seventh season as the official MotoAmerica Superbike team of Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (YMUS).
With 13 titles over 16 seasons, the Yamaha YZF-R1 has reigned supreme in the premier U.S. National Superbike Championship. Formerly AMA Pro Road Racing, the series changed hands in 2014 and was rebranded as MotoAmerica. During that transition, Yamaha didn’t skip a beat, with Josh Hayes earning four titles in five years (2010, 2011, 2012, and 2014) and Josh Herrin splitting Hayes’ reign with his first career Superbike title in 2013. Then it was Cameron Beaubier who would lead the way for Yamaha, earning back-to-back titles in 2015 and 2016 and three consecutive from 2018 to 2020.
In 2020, Attack Performance, one of the sport’s leading manufacturers of high-performance components and services for modern sportbikes, took the helm as YMUS’ Official MotoAmerica Superbike team. Since the partnership began, the team has carried on the winning tradition of the Yamaha YZF-R1, enjoying resounding success with four titles and 70 victories in the premier class. The first championship came with Beaubier, who claimed his fifth MotoAmerica Superbike title during the team's debut season in 2020. Then in 2021, Jake Gagne enjoyed a meteoric rise in the premier class, earning three consecutive titles (2021-2023) and a total of 42 career victories during his tenure with the team.
As the 2026 MotoAmerica Superbike season gets underway on April 17-19 at Road Atlanta, Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing looks to come out swinging with Fong and Beach, who are eager to launch their title campaigns. The team would like to thank its partners for their continued support: Progressive, Yamaha Financial Services, Yamalube, Akrapovic, Braking, TrackDaz, miKanik Moto, Podium Club at Atessa, Superlite, DID, NGK-NTK, Suter, Zero Gravity, and Full Spectrum Power.
Bobby Fong returns for his second season with Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing in 2026 and looks to claim the crown after a standout debut campaign with the team. In addition to the 2019 MotoAmerica Supersport Championship, the talented rider from Stockton, California, has multiple victories in the premier class and across the support class categories.
In 2024, he was a frontrunner in the hotly contested title fight, advancing to the top of the standings after his double victory at Brainerd International Raceway. Fong continued to show strength, ultimately finishing the season third overall with two wins and a total of eight podiums aboard the Aussie Dave Racing/Wrench Motorcycles YZF-R1.
Last year, he joined the Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha team and once again was a title contender in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. The fight went down to the wire, being decided at the season finale Superbike tripleheader at New Jersey Motorsports Park. In the end, Fong earned an impressive six wins in 2025 to bring his career total to 11 Superbike victories and made 14 trips to the podium, finishing the season third in the championship.
JD Beach joins Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing full-time in 2026, marking a welcome return to both the Yamaha brand and the Attack Performance Superbike program, where he has enjoyed a lot of success. A proven championship contender in both road racing and dirt track, Beach is eager to enter his first full season in MotoAmerica Superbike aboard the Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing YZF-R1.
In addition to two MotoAmerica Supersport titles with Yamaha in 2015 and 2018, Beach has two career Superbike wins, both aboard an Attack Performance Yamaha YZF-R1. His first Superbike win came in 2019 at VIR with the Attack Performance Estenson Racing team, coming just a weekend after his debut AFT SuperTwins victory aboard the Estenson Racing MT-07 at the Arizona SuperTT. The second Superbike victory was at the 2023 season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park, where Beach served as a fill-in rider for the Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha team. The versatile rider also boasts 12 premier-class victories in American Flat Track aboard Yamaha machinery with Estenson Racing, needing only a Mile track win to complete a career Grand Slam.
With his racing efforts mostly focused on American Flat Track from 2020 to 2023, Beach returned to racing the MotoAmerica series full-time in 2024, earning three Superbike podiums and finishing second overall in the 2025 Stock 1000 Championship.
