It would be an understatement to say that racing has been in Yamaha’s blood since day one and that we’ve been successful at it. Sure, we don’t win every year, but we approach every season with the same positive attitude and commitment to provide our athletes with the best motorcycles and support staff humanly possible.
Our Supercross/Motocross team will again consist of, Broc Hepler, Josh Hill and Grant Langston.
After finishing out the 2008 season with a podium at the final National of the year and a his first Supercross win on a YZ450F in Sweden, Broc Hepler is very excited about the upcoming 2009 season. Moving up to the 450 Class full time for 2009 Broc is positive his smooth riding style will give him the ability to adapt to the more powerful YZ450F both indoors and out. Broc will be competing on a Ray Johnson-tuned YZ450F.
In 2008 Josh Hill fulfilled one of his childhood dreams by winning his first Supercross in the premier class at the Minneapolis Metrodome. A consistent podium finisher throughout the Supercross season Josh will be returning for another year on a very familiar machine now featuring his childhood racing number #75. For 2009 Josh will be on a Jered Coles-tuned YZ450F.
A seasoned veteran with two 250F Supercross Championships to his credit as well as a 125 National Championship and 450 National Championship, Grant Langston will transition into a slightly different role for the 2009 season. With his eye situation still in limbo Grant will serve in a new capacity as team mentor and Yamaha Spokesperson for the 2009 season.
