2010 Yamaha / Graves Motorsports Road Race Team
JOSH HERRIN # 8
Much was expected from Grave’s Motorsport’s Josh Herrin in his bid for the 2009 AMA Daytona Sportbike Championship and he came within 5 points of accomplishing his goal. If not for a bit of bad luck in at least 1 race he would have won the title, turning a key win at the VIR round into an amazing rush to the Championship. The season saw him record a career high 4 wins and continue to come of age in this highly competitive class. The same is expected of Josh again in 2010 and his Graves prepared R6 will certainly provide the tool to achieve the goal of becoming the AMA Daytona Sportbike Champion.

Now the veteran of the Graves Motorsports Yamaha Team, 19 year old Josh Herrin returns in 2010 for his fourth season with the team. Prior to last year, Josh had a good season in 2008 which saw him score 5 podium finishes and a race win at Barber Motorsports Park on the Graves Motorsports prepared YZF-R6. Having had two full seasons and multiple race wins plus the experience of working with the Graves Team, Josh came into 2009 with increased confidence and Championship expectations.

Josh has established himself well in the paddock and with a growing fan base after an outstanding 2007 season saw him finish on the podium 3 times and win the final Laguna Seca round of the Supersport series.

His 2006 Graves Factory Racing debut saw him finish a very credible 6th in his first AMA Supersport race, the best debut finish in AMA Road Racing History. He followed that result with a podium finish at Miller Motorsports Park in only his second start, where he became the youngest AMA Professional rider ever to do so.

Josh began his racing career at the tender age of 6, following in the footsteps of his dad, also a racer. In 2003 Josh was invited to the first ever World Mini Grand Prix Road Race in Valencia, Spain where he finished 6th and top American out of 50 competitors from around the world. He won the 125cc USGPRU National Championship in 2004 followed by a WERA 600cc National Championship in 2005.
