The 2014 YZ250F had a stunning May 31-June 1 racing weekend, with bLU cRU riders sweeping the 250MX podium at the AMA Hangtown Motocross Classic

With his bike wearing the red points leader’s number plate, all eyes were on Martin as the gate dropped for the first moto in Sacramento. Although rival Zach Bell took the holeshot, Martin started strongly inside the top three and took the lead on the first lap with Justin Bogle and Webb in tow. Webb took over second after the halfway point, but by then Martin was long gone, eventually winning the moto by 19.3 seconds. Things went even more Martin’s way in the second moto, with the YZ rider scorching to the holeshot over Pourcel and Webb and never looking back, this time winning by nearly 20 seconds. Webb and Pourcel followed up in second and third to secure Yamaha’s 1-2-3 podium sweep. “After watching Jeremy’s dominating performance, I think he needed to bring a broom as he swept both motos,” said Yamaha motocross team manager Jim Perry. “What a great day for the 2014 YZ250F with the 1-2-3 finish, and what an exciting time for the Yamaha brand.”
