Cycle Rock River Yamaha Team

In April of 2013, Rock River Yamaha was approached by with entertaining the idea of the company supporting a Professional SX/MX Team. After several talks over the phone, General Manager, Paige Bouma and her family headed up to Budds Creek MX National in Maryland to meet with Team Manager Christina Denney to start discussing details of making this reality. As most good things don’t happen overnight, this joint venture took time to iron out all the details. On November 11, 2013, Rock River got the great news. Everything from that date forward has been full steam ahead. has included this in their future plans. They want to stay part of this sport. When Paige first sat down with Mike DuClos (owner of Rock River Yamaha) and Christina Denney and started talking about this, it became clear that we all envisioned this as a long-term partnership. It’s not something that just wants to do for one year, they are committing to it. It took them a long time to get to this point because when they do something, they do it 100 percent.

In looking at different teams, Rock River seemed to have it all. They’ve got a great pro team, which is a huge plus, and with our corporate backing we think we’ll be able to help take them to the next level. But the pro team is only half of the picture. What’s possibly even more important is the amateur side, and Rock River Yamaha supports all sorts of riders, from kids on PWs who are just starting out to 450 riders who are trying to earn their pro cards. That’s what made them stand out from some of the other teams and made us really want to be a part of the Rock River vision. I’m thrilled to be part of this team, and I can’t wait to see what Rock River Yamaha will bring to Supercross and Motocross this year, says Paige Bouma, General Manager.
